Bulk billing is available between 9 am – 3:50 pm, Monday to Friday, ONLY for children 15 years or under and pension card holders. NO Bulk Billing is available outside these hours or on public holidays.

Please advise us at least 2 hours before an appointment if wishing to cancel, reschedule, or are unable to attend. Without 2 hours’ notice, a Non-Attendance fee starting from $50 is charged and applies to ALL appointments.

TeleHealth Appointments & Consultations – Important Information

Medicare TeleHealth services are available for ALL patients who have been seen at Greenway Medical Centre within the last 12 months.

If you are a new patient or not had a face to face consultation in the last 12 months at Greenway Medical Centre you will not be eligible for Medicare Telhealth rebate and the fee for this Teleheath sevice will be a non-rebatable fee of $85 for weekdays and $95 for weekends.

Please advise us at least 2 hours prior to your appointment if you wish to cancel, reschedule. or cannot attend your consultation. If 2 hours notice is not given, a $65 Non-Attendance fee will be charged. This applies to all appointments.

Everyone is encouraged to make ALL bookings online through HotDocs and Health Engine.

This includes those for telephone consultations and video appointments.

If there is there a payment for the TeleHealth consultation the reception staff will contact you either prior to or after the consulatation.

If you have not been advised already to make a video consultation please call reception first to confirm if a telephone consultation would be more appropriate.

Telephone Consultations

  • Book online with HotDoc or HealthEngine

  • You will receive a confirmation email

  • An SMS reminder is sent the day before

  • Your doctor will call you at the booked time

Video Consultations

  • Book online with HotDoc or HealthEngine

  • You will receive a link to your video consultation in a confirmation email

  • Please click link within that email several minutes before your appointment

  • Confirm your formal consent for the video consultation to proceed

  • Wait in the virtual waiting room for your doctor to connect with you

  • Your doctor will connect your video consultation at the booked time

The doctor will finish the TeleHealth consultation. Should any other details be required you will be transferred to our reception staff.

After your doctor’s appointment…

Our reception staff will have referrals, certificates, scripts, radiology and pathology ready by the end of the day.

Any information you need will be emailed after the telephone consultation or video appointment to your email address we have on record.

If you need your email address updated please notify reception before the appointment day preferably by emailing reception@greenwaymedicalcentre.com.au

Radiology, imaging referrals /requests will be emailed to you or sent directly to the imaging provider.
If sent directly to the imaging provider you will still need to call the scan centre to book an appointment.

Medical certificates will be emailed to you.

Pathology referrals can be collected from reception or our reception staff can email for you to print.

TeleHealth Appointments & Consultations – Important Information

We encourage you to book a TeleHealth appointment rather than a face-to-face appointment for the following symptoms:

  • fever
  • dry cough
  • tiredness
  • aches and pains
  • sore throat
  • diarrhoea
  • conjunctivitis
  • headache
  • loss of taste
  • loss of smell
  • a rash on skin
  • discolouration of fingers or toes

The COVID-19 Helpline is open daily from 8am to 8pm on 02 6207 7244.

TeleHealth bookings can be made on our appointments page or with our friendly reception staff on 02 6100 9956.
